A winery in the heart of the Italian province of Ragusa, designed for a luxury brand of craft wines. The building was based on a thorough renovation and extension of an old house located in the vineyard. The aim of the project was to preserve the most complete, authentic structure of the existing household. The object refers to tradition not only due to its form, but also through the materials used, recovered from a destroyed house. The intention of the owner was to give the space a boutique character, while drawing on the roots of Sicilian rural architecture. The production rooms, which are open to visitors, are accompanied by commercial, tasting and relaxation areas. The whole concept is complemented by a public garden surrounded by vines.
