A single-family house in the type of a modern barn, located in Lesser Poland, referring to the historic farm buildings. The investors wanted to obtain a building that was as simple as possible in form, while using the potential of a natural material, which is wood. A minimalist building with a raw character was designed, the only decoration of which is the vertical rhythm of the facade highlighted by the window joinery. The design challenge was the difficult topography of the plot with a large slope, when locating the building, it was decided to divide it into two zones: the entrance and the viewing area, for which the border is marked by the property itself. All bedrooms and the living space of the house have an excellent southern exposure, and from the terrace there is a view of the valley with a private forest.
